You should have asked me – I had to design and etch one at university!
Of course I have forgotten most of the therory now, but still rem the PNP vs NPN junctions etc

Cool! In fact I understood how a transistor was done. My problem was getting a mental model of what it does and how it behaves.
But thanks anyway
