Default icon in GNOME menus

Posted by Jorge Bernal March 23, 2005

Yesterday, I hacked up a little patch to have some kind of default icon for menu entries without an icon. The idea is not new (#76495), and I think this is the best solution.

It looks like this

The diff for the package is available at: gnome-paneladd-icon-to-items-without-oneubuntu.diff

Update [2005-03-23 23:47]: the patch has been uploaded (Accepted gnome-panel 2.10.0-0ubuntu8 (source))

Patch from Jorge Bernal <koke at amedias.org>:
   * debian/application-default-icon.png.uue:
     - the default icon.
   * debian/patches/09_default_icons.patch:
     - shows an icon if the .desktop hasn't one.
   * debian/rules:
     - install the icon.
